If you haven't heard, Banksy is sponsoring free Monday admissions to the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, the Museum of Contemporary Art! Perfect timing. The free admissions started today (my first Monday of Summer Break) and will continue until August 8th. Inspirational opportunities, countless artistic contributions, and free fun? You must be a square if you refuse such an event.
Anyway, who is Banksy? For those of you who've ever noticed numerous stenciled-like graffiti art, with satirical messages or dark humor, randomly scattered along the streets, walls, and bridges of Los Angeles, Banksy is your man behind the masterpieces. He also spreads his political and social artistic messages elsewhere all over the world, but Los Angeles has been the ultimate city, where I've personally spotted his pieces. With that being said, thanks for today's enriching experience Banksy!
